I was supposed to be the student speaker at Commencement but I failed one class, which prevented me from graduating on time and I lost my spot as Student Speaker at Commencement.
Students and alumni lobbied to have me speak at graduation anyways but the administration refused. I could not participate in any Commencement activities on Graduation Day but they did agree to allow me to speak at the Class Day ceremony the day before graduation. Above is a video of this speech.
